The 40 storey office tower at 126 Phillip Street, Sydney incorporated a number of advanced construction techniques. The extensive use of prefabricated reinforcing, custom-designed quick release table forms and a very high strength concrete were used, which consistently achieved four day construction cycles on the tower’s 1400m2 typical floors.

Precinct C comprises two 10 storey commercial office towers for the Australian Taxation Office in Canberra. A unique feature of the structural design for the project is the inclusion of “Y” shaped columns requiring 72 prefabricated reinforcing cages for the arms for the 36 “Y” columns across the two buildings.

The Kwinana Railway extension Project required 600 prefabricated, 11m long x 2m wide curved reinforcing cages for precast concrete to construct the four railway underpasses. The remote location, high cost of delivery and the potential for delays in steelfixing convinced the builder to opt for prefabricated pile cages for its remedial piling works.
