500PLUS® BAMTEC®

500PLUS® BAMTEC® is a patented steel reinforcing system as easy to place as a roll of carpet.

OneSteel Reinforcing 500PLUS® REBAR reinforcing bars are pre-welded to flexible steel straps by OneSteel Reinforcing to specific dimensions, rolled up for easy handling and delivered to site as a complete 500PLUS® BAMTEC® carpet. When needed, the carpet is simply lifted into place and unrolled onto continuous bar chairs.

A revolutionary approach to placing steel reinforcing in slabs, CRCP and decks to greatly improve speed, quality and safety of construction, 500PLUS® BAMTEC® carpets can be fabricated to virtually any shape or size, eliminating the need for some tying on site.

500PLUS® BAMTEC® carpets can incorporate different types and diameters of bars and have bars at various spacing’s. Precise CAD detailing allows penetrations, awkward shapes and complex geometries to be integrated into the carpet design.

Because the carpet is fabricated by OneSteel Reinforcing, using 500PLUS® BAMTEC® eliminates placement errors, ensuring construction quality is optimised, reducing the requirement for on-site inspections. The carpets can more closely match engineering intent and specifications, as spacing and steel diameters can be varied to maximise efficiency.
